North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information regarding the attempted theft of a caravan from Gallowfields Trading Estate at 2232 hours on the 28th of January 2025.

The caravan was parked on the estate with a ‘hitch lock’ attached. The suspects attended the location in a dark blue VW Passat saloon vehicle (possibly a 07 registration plate), and have forcefully remove the hitch lock. 

Before the suspects have managed to tow the caravan away, a member of the public has parked in front of the suspects vehicle, forcing the suspects to reverse into the hitch of the caravan, which may have damaged the bumper of the suspects vehicle.
