This is an update following the reports of messages containing threats of violence made to schools in the Skipton area. 

As we mentioned previously, we are working with West Yorkshire Police and can confirm that a teenage girl from the West Yorkshire area is currently under investigation. 

She will be interviewed under caution in the relation to the messages sent in the Skipton area and is also under investigation for similar messages sent to schools in West Yorkshire. 

To further reassure parents, pupils, staff and the wider community, and as we mentioned yesterday, we don’t believe there is any credibility to the threats made and colleagues at West Yorkshire Police have also confirmed they don’t believe the threats to be credible.
