We’re currently dealing with a road traffic collision which has occurred following an oil spillage on the A59.

The spill is affecting various points along the A59 between Skipton and Harrogate and we are advising motorists to "exercise caution" when travelling along the route this afternoon.

We have notified the Highways Department at the council who are making the necessary arrangements for the oil to be removed.
