We’re appealing for information about a public order incident that occurred in the YORK PLACE and YORK ROAD area of KNARESBOROUGH. 

The incident happened at 09:45 hours on Tuesday 20th May 2025, on YORK PLACE at the junction with YORK ROAD, and involved an male travelling in a white van, described as looking similar to a FORD Transit.

The victim, an elderly female was approached by the male who pulled alongside the victim and made a number of inappropriate comments leaving her extremely distressed. 

The male is described as a white male, approximately 60 years of age, short grey hair, dressed smartly with a cream / coffee coloured t-shirt. 

We’re particularly appealing for information about anyone who may have witnessed this incident and urge anyone who may have had any dashcam footage and were present in the area at the time to check for any footage that may have captured the incident.

We ask that local residents remain vigilant and report any similar incidents to Police.
