Here's how you can report stalking and harassment. We recently launched a new service which allows you to report stalking or harassment to us via our website. Stalking or harassment is when someone repeatedly behaves in a way that makes you feel scared, distressed or threatened. If you, or someone you know, has experienced this, you can report it to us. We understand it can be difficult to tell us about what's happened, but we want to hear from you. We take these offences very seriously – and your information could help us bring the offender to justice and make sure you, and other people in a similar situation, are kept safe. Visit the North Yorkshire Police website, and click the Report button. We'll ask you a few questions to make sure we give you the right form to fill in. You can report for yourself, for someone else or as a witness. We'll investigate whatever you tell us, and we'll let you know what steps we'll take next. Any information you send us in the form is secure, but if you're worried that your phone or laptop has been hacked, consider using a friend's device or a computer in your local library. And if you're not sure about reporting to us just yet, that's OK, there are other organisations you can speak to for advice and help. You’ll find a list of these on our website – it's really important that you get the support you need. | ||||
