Good afternoon,

At 06:21hrs on Saturday 31st May 2025 we received a report of a disturbance on Northallerton Road, Brompton.

Officers attended the area and obtained more information from witnesses where it seemed that a male had assaulted a dog walker and ran off towards Brompton. Whilst we had officers with the victim of the assault other officers were doing an area search for the offender.

At 06:45hrs we received another report stating that a male is attacking a van in Brompton and being aggressive to the residents, within minutes officers arrived and found the male in a rear garden of the address, with taser drawn the male was arrested for assault.

This was an unprovoked attack and due to the nature of the offences the male has been charged with five offences altogether.
