Police Engagement with Year 6 pupils – Carnagill and Wavell Primary Schools

Police Engagement with Year 6 pupils – Carnagill and Wavell Primary Schools

As part of our ongoing commitment to early intervention and youth education, PC Godfrey visited Carnagill and Wavell primary Schools to engage with Year 6 pupils.

The sessions focused on two key areas:

  • Peer Pressure – Pupils took part in discussions around the influence of peer pressure, particularly relating to vaping, smoking and alcohol. Highlighting the health risks associated with these substances and encouraged pupils to feel confident in saying no, making informed choices, and looking out for one another.
  • Anti-Social Behaviour – The importance of respecting others and the community was discussed, along with the potential consequences of anti-social actions. Pupils were encouraged to think about how their behaviour can impact themselves and others.

  • These interactive and age-appropriate sessions aimed to equip pupils with the knowledge, confidence, and resilience needed as they transition to secondary school in September.
