As part of the national Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, North Yorkshire Police Neighbourhood Policing Team have today deployed in the retail areas of Catterick Garrison and Richmond.

Retail Crime is a scourge on society and a significant drain on the country’s resources and well-being. There is genuine concern about the national increase in shoplifting and violence against retail workers. 

North Yorkshire Police’s intention is to Deny, Detect & Deter criminal activity in retail areas and officers regularly deploy in the retail areas of Richmondshire, including Leyburn.
