Burglary Appeal - Scarborough

Important Message – Please do not ignore

 

Police are investigating a burglary in your area that occurred on Saturday 19th July 2025 sometime between the hours of 6pm and 9pm on a Gildercliffe, Scarborough. 

 

Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding those responsible and help keep your community safe? 

 

  • Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date? 
  • Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after? 
  • Do you have a vehicle with a dash-cam parked in the area? 

    • A white blue and yellow off-road motorbike was stolen from a shed on Gildercliffe. An electric scooter, jet black in colour was also taken. The bike also failed to stop for Police and was pursued. It was later found abandoned and recovered. Your address is in the area where the bike was either stolen from, or where it was ridden.

  • Ensure that all doors are locked overnight, and windows are locked or on a latch.
  • Remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.
  • Consider fitting a security light to the side of your property.
