Attempt Burglary Appeal

Important Message – Please do not ignore

North Yorkshire Police are investigating an attempt burglary in the area of Holgate Road on 20th July at approximately 02:55hrs.

Damaged has been caused to a gate when forcing it off its hinges to allow multiple suspects to enter a garden and attempt to steal a motorbike from the address. The suspects left the address without the motorbike, however they may have targeted further addresses in the area.

Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding those responsible and help keep your community safe?

Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date?

Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the attempt burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after?

Do you have a vehicle with a dash-cam parked in the area?

Security Advice

Ensure that all doors are locked overnight, and windows are locked or on a latch.

Remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.

Consider fitting a security light to the side of your property.
