Local Priorities Road Safety Issues Update |
||
|
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Acting on information provided by the community a vehicle was located in York with the driver believed to be under the influence of drugs. Through a targeted patrol officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team stopped this vehicle whereupon the driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. As a result of the arrest the suspect has been released pending toxicology testing. If you know anyone who may be driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol please let us know. You can inform police via 101 or log onto the North Yorkshire Police website. Alternatively, you can speak with a member from your local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT). Thank you If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.northyorkshire.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
