We are making residents aware that there have been a number of recent burglary offences reported in parts of York.

We would like to encourage everyone to take a few simple precautions to help protect their homes and property:

✅ Ensure all doors and windows are locked, even when at home.
✅ Do not leave valuables on display.
✅ Use security lighting, CCTV, or doorbell cameras where available.
✅ Keep sheds, garages, and outbuildings secure.
✅ Consider asking trusted neighbours to keep an eye on your property if you are away.

Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, people, or vehicles to North Yorkshire Police via 101, or 999 if a crime is in progress.
