Neighbourhood Policing

Neighbourhood Policing

Good afternoon,

Young People Visit Police Headquarters

Over the past two weeks we recently welcomed teenagers from Northallerton Youth Club to Police Headquarters to give them an insight into the world of policing and the many different roles that help keep our communities safe.

The visit provided an opportunity to meet officers and staff, learn about day-to-day policing, and see some of the specialist departments that support frontline operations.

There were plenty of questions asked, and it was great to see so much interest and enthusiasm.

Building positive relationships with young people is an important part of neighbourhood policing, and we hope everyone who attended found the visit both enjoyable and informative.

Thank you to Dog Handler Josh and dogs Narla and Roo for providing an input and showing them the dogs.

A big thank you to Callie and Lisa from Youth Club in making the visit a success.
